Residents of Gboko in Benue State have raised alarm over the deplorable state of JS Tarka Way, one of the most important roads in the town.
In a widely shared Facebook post, Comrd Abeen Doc highlighted the current condition of the road, captured yesterday, noting that sections shown in the images have not even been graded and remain severely deteriorated and damaged. JS Tarka Way serves as a critical link to the town’s key economic and commercial hubs, situated at the heart of Gboko and playing a vital role in daily business and transportation activities.
The post questioned the current administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, asking why such a strategic road has been allowed to fall into such disrepair. It further lamented what many perceive as the abandonment of the Jembgbagh people.
The condition of JS Tarka Way has become a topic of public discourse, with residents calling for urgent attention and rehabilitation of this essential roadway.
