Activist Ejembi Rejects Alia Bread Distribution, Demands Jobs Instead

Activist Ejembi has criticised the distribution of bread branded with the name of Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia, insisting that the people of the state need sustainable employment rather than food handouts.

In a strongly worded reaction directed at Sam Ode, Ejembi stated that citizens should not be treated as children waiting at the gate for bread when their parents return from travel. “We are not children waiting at the gate for bread when our parents return from travel. We are citizens of a state bleeding from insecurity, hunger and unemployment,” he said.

The activist’s comments come against the backdrop of public distributions of Alia Bread packages, which he argued do not address the deeper challenges of joblessness and insecurity confronting residents of Benue State.
