Engr. Peter Terwase Tortiv-Ato Emerges Consensus Candidate for Jechira House of Representatives

Engr. Peter Terwase Tortiv-Ato, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State, has emerged as the consensus candidate for the Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

The development comes shortly after the party’s emergence of Chief Michael Aondoakaa, SAN, as its governorship candidate. Ato’s selection as the consensus candidate reflects the PDP’s internal arrangement to present a unified front for the Jechira Federal Constituency.

In his acceptance speech, Ato expressed deep gratitude to the party leadership for the confidence reposed in him. He affirmed his readiness to serve and pledged not to disappoint the trust placed in his capacity. He also emphasized his willingness to align fully with the party’s collective decisions.

The engineer-turned-politician assured constituents of purposeful leadership if elected into the Green Chamber. He reiterated that his guiding philosophy of “Shared Vision, Shared Prosperity” will remain central to his legislative agenda and service delivery.
