NSCDC Benue State Deploys 1,760 Personnel for Eid-El-Kabir Celebrations

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Benue State Command has deployed one thousand seven hundred and sixty (1,760) personnel across the state to ensure public safety, peace, and order during the upcoming Eid-El-Kabir celebrations scheduled for 27th and 28th May 2026.

In a statement issued by the Command, State Commandant Bitrus Alice Larai directed the deployment of personnel to critical locations including Eid prayer grounds, markets, and recreational parks across all 23 Local Government Areas of Benue State. The proactive measure aims to provide adequate security, crowd control, traffic management, and emergency response services to guarantee a hitch-free celebration.

The deployment draws personnel from specialized units including the Female Strike Force, Agro Rangers Unit, Mining Marshall, VIP Protection Unit, Anti Vandal Unit, and the Counter Terrorism & Rapid Response Unit. The Commandant enjoined all operatives to remain professional, vigilant, and dedicated while carrying out their assignments.

The Corps also promised continued collaboration with other sister security agencies for the overall safety of the state.
