Construction on the highly anticipated High-Level Underpass in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, has entered its final phase, with contractors now commencing the laying of the finishing asphalt layer.

The milestone development, observed during a recent site visit by Benue Info-pedia on Thursday, March 5, 2026, shows workers actively spreading asphalt across key sections of the underpass. Heavy-duty equipment has been deployed to guarantee a smooth, durable, and long-lasting road surface capable of withstanding heavy traffic.
