A young man believed to be a commercial motorcycle (okada) rider was found lying helpless on Wilson Enyi Street in New GRA, Makurdi, at about 7:00 a.m. this morning. He was discovered by Mr Ikper Gerald, who was on a morning exercise routine.
From available indications, the victim had been robbed and dispossessed of his motorcycle and phone. He remains alive but is not talking and is currently receiving treatment at the Accident and Emergency unit of the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi.
Anyone who recognises the young man is urged to contact his family, as he is in need of attention and support. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about security along residential streets in the New GRA area of the state capital.
