University Management Pays Condolence Visit to Family of Slain Professor Gabriel Nyityo

The Vice-Chancellor of Rev. Fr. Moses Orshio Adasu University, Professor Timothy Terseer Alabar, on Wednesday, 8th July 2026, led members of the university management on a condolence visit to the family of the late Professor Gabriel Nyityo.

Professor Nyityo, a distinguished scholar, dedicated teacher, and committed member of the university community, was tragically murdered alongside his younger sibling. His untimely death has been described as a great loss not only to his family but also to the university and the broader academic community.

During the visit, Professor Alabar expressed the university’s heartfelt condolences and conveyed the deep sorrow of the entire university community. He described death as an inevitable reality of life and urged the bereaved family to take solace in God, who gives and sustains life. The Vice-Chancellor assured the family that the university stands in solidarity with them during this difficult period.

Professor Alabar further prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of Professor Gabriel Nyityo and his sibling, asking God Almighty to grant the family the strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear the painful and irreparable loss.

The university management reiterated its sympathy and assured the family of continued prayers and support throughout the mourning period.
