Accompanying the report was a photograph of a man seated on the ground outdoors, appearing restrained, with other individuals standing nearby. The activist used the revelation to highlight the scale of child trafficking challenges facing communities in Benue, writing: “You see what we are facing in Benue?”

This account adds to ongoing concerns about child trafficking in the state, where activists and authorities have previously reported cases involving vulnerable children from conflict-affected areas and displaced communities. Officials and community leaders have repeatedly called for stronger vigilance, investigation, and prosecution of those involved in such crimes. Further details from the interrogation and any subsequent actions by law enforcement agencies were not immediately available.
