A group of Tiv protesters on Tuesday took to the streets of Abuja, calling on the Federal Government to release Mathias Byuan, saying his intervention is urgently needed to address the ongoing killings in Benue State.

The demonstration, which drew concerned residents from Benue, follows rising fears over persistent attacks and insecurity affecting several communities across the state. The protesters, carrying placards, said they were not aware of any confirmed resignation by Byuan and insisted on hearing directly from him.
