Queen Adiya Eworo has taken to social media to publicly accuse her estranged partner, Nick Eworo, and one Erdoo Minan of assaulting her and her children before throwing them out of their Makurdi home since April last year.
In a detailed post, she claimed that after reporting the incident to the police, Nick Eworo and his associates allegedly used their closeness to Governor Alia to thwart the case. She stated that she has been left to single-handedly care for the children, spending heavily on medical bills, legal proceedings, and other needs for over a year, with family and friends’ interventions proving unsuccessful.
Eworo further alleged that Nick Eworo recently sent a petition through his lawyer demanding that she and the children vacate their Abuja home the only remaining property they shared because he believes she sponsored a blogger critical of him and his associates. She noted that the children currently reside in the Abuja property and expressed concern that their father does not care if they end up on the street.
In a follow-up statement, Queen Adiya Eworo claimed that her life and those of her children are now being threatened. She denied knowing or sponsoring social media user Asom Jerry, whom she says Nick Eworo and his associates are accusing her of backing. She revealed receiving anonymous threat calls and direct threats from a relative of Nick Eworo named Elizabeth.
She questioned the continued harassment despite her year-long silence aimed at protecting her children’s privacy, asking why she is being targeted and expressing fear for her safety.
The allegations remain unverified as of now, with no official response from Nick Eworo or the authorities mentioned. The matter highlights a bitter personal and property dispute that has spilled into the public domain.
