Reports indicate that suspected attackers from Mbakor have launched what is described as the ninth attack on the Nongov-Agasha community in Agasha, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, on the evening of Saturday, September 19, 2026.
The reported assault allegedly resulted in houses being set ablaze, raising fresh concerns over the safety of residents and the continued escalation of the communal crisis between Nongov-Agasha in Guma LGA and Akpa Mbakor in Tarkaa LGA.
The situation remains concerning. Residents have been urged to prioritise their safety, remain vigilant and follow verified security directives.
Authorities and relevant security agencies have also been called upon to respond promptly, protect lives and property, and work toward restoring peace in the affected communities.
