Kumuyi Arrives in Benue, Commends Alia’s Leadership, Seeks Peace Through Global Crusade

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry, Pastor William F. Kumuyi, has arrived in Benue State ahead of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, which the state government described as a unique opportunity to advance peace, moral rebirth, and spiritual renewal.

Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, represented by Deputy Governor Barr. Dr. Sam Ode, received the renowned cleric on Tuesday at the Government House in Makurdi. The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to values that support sustainable development, stating that meaningful progress includes spiritual growth, integrity, and the fear of God.

Alia expressed confidence that the crusade would foster salvation, healing, restoration, and renewed hope, while also strengthening families and inspiring young people to build a peaceful and united Benue. He commended Pastor Kumuyi for his decades of impactful global ministry and appreciated the support of various Christian organizations and security agencies toward the programme’s success.

In response, Pastor Kumuyi lauded the Alia administration for its achievements in governance, infrastructure, and education despite prevailing challenges, attributing the progress to God’s grace. He noted that Benue occupies a special place in his heart and announced plans to return before the end of the year for a second ministerial visit.

The Global Crusade is scheduled to continue in Gboko and Otukpo after the Makurdi programme and will be broadcast to about 180 countries across six continents.

Pastor Kumuyi also emphasized that only God is the solution to Nigeria’s security challenges, urging Nigerians to seek divine intervention.
