Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on the occasion of his 58th birthday. In a congratulatory message issued on Saturday, 8 August 2026, Governor Alia described the occasion as an opportunity to celebrate Professor Nentawe’s life of service, intellectual accomplishments and contributions to the development of Nigeria.
“On behalf of the government and people of Benue State, I warmly felicitate with you, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on the auspicious occasion of your 58th birthday. This milestone provides an opportunity to celebrate your remarkable journey and the valuable contributions you have continued to make to our nation,” the Governor said.
Governor Alia acknowledged the birthday celebrant’s accomplishments in academia and public service, stressing that his experience and dedication have made him a person of considerable value to the country’s democratic development. He also commended the APC National Chairman for his commitment to the ideals of the party and his efforts toward advancing its interests and strengthening its structures.
“As National Chairman of our great party, your leadership carries an important responsibility. I commend your commitment to the ideals of the APC and your continued efforts to promote unity, stability and progress within the party,” he stated. The Governor further celebrated Professor Nentawe as a distinguished Nigerian whose contributions have transcended the boundaries of his immediate community in Kanke and Plateau State.
“Your journey from Dungung Community in Kanke LG of Plateau State to the position you occupy today is a testament to a life defined by service, resilience and achievement. Your contributions have extended beyond Plateau State and have enriched the wider Nigerian society,” he added. Governor Alia prayed that God Almighty would continue to strengthen and guide the APC National Chairman as he advances in age and continues to serve the party and the nation. He wished Professor Nentawe a memorable birthday celebration and many more years of fulfilment, peace and impactful service to the nation.
