Four-Year-Old Girl Missing for Months in Gboko as Family Suspects Neighbor of Human Trafficking

A four-year-old girl, Chivirter Agatha Tyongi, also known as Ahina, has been missing for several months in Gboko, Yandev area of Benue State, sparking serious concerns and suspicion within her community.

According to her family, the child is a resident of Gboko, where her father, Tyongi Simon Yaarkwan, relocated the family to ensure access to quality education. The family’s residence is in close proximity to a neighbor identified as Andy.

On the day she went missing, Chivirter’s elder sister realized she had forgotten her slippers and asked the young girl to retrieve them. Chivirter went out but never returned. The family has since been searching for her without success.

The family is now seriously suspecting their neighbor Andy following the recent discovery of what they describe as a major human trafficker operating within the neighbourhood. They cite Andy’s close relationship with the family and the proximity of the school and residence as factors heightening their suspicion.
