Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly and ex-lawmaker for Gboko West Constituency, has taken his infrastructure-focused development agenda to Mbadam Ward in Mbatierev, Gboko Local Government Area.

During a meeting on February 7, 2026, at Gimbo, Mbkaykase, with party members, traditional leaders, and residents, Dajoh commended the patience and loyalty of the Mbadam community. He assured them that his governance philosophy emphasizes fairness and inclusion, ensuring no ward is left behind in the constituency.

Dajoh explained that while development projects cannot be implemented simultaneously everywhere due to resource constraints, deliberate planning and sequencing are now placing Mbadadam firmly on the priority list. Key among the proposed interventions is the construction of a befitting Traditional Council Office to strengthen local traditional institutions and enhance grassroots administration.

“We are committed to carrying everyone along. Development takes planning and sequencing, and Mbadam is now firmly on our agenda,” Dajoh stated.

In response to stakeholder demands, he approved the immediate resumption of work on the St. Paul Catholic Church project in Bum to ensure its timely completion.

Felix Aondover Mbatierev, in a keynote address, praised Dajoh for his prompt response to a tragic 2025 accident in Gimbo that claimed lives and injured several others. However, he raised ongoing concerns about persistent infrastructural deficits in Mbadam Ward and called for sustained government attention to address them.

The Mbatierev community passed a vote of confidence in the former Speaker, urging residents of Mbadam to remain united and continue supporting Dajoh. They stressed that it was not yet time for the ward to vie for the Gboko West State Assembly seat.

Elder Aka Ude commended Dajoh for extending development efforts to the ward, noting that improved infrastructure would accelerate grassroots growth. The former Leader of the Gboko Legislature, Najime Ngutswen, joined women and youth representatives in highlighting challenges such as dilapidated public facilities and limited government presence in the area.
