Tragic Tree Fall Claims Life in Gboko, Former Speaker Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Offers Support

A devastating incident in Ngimbo, Mbadam Mbatierem, Gboko Local Government Area has left the community in mourning. On Friday, September 19, 2025, Mr. Chiahemba Tarpaav lost his life when a tree fell unexpectedly. The tragedy also left seven others injured, all of whom are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, visited the bereaved family to offer his condolences. During the visit, Dajoh expressed deep sympathy to both the family and the injured victims. Demonstrating his commitment to the community, he settled the medical bills for the hospitalized individuals and pledged support for the funeral arrangements.

Describing the event as “unfortunate and deeply saddening,” Dajoh urged the community to draw strength from their faith during this difficult time. Speaking through his Personal Assistant, Mr. Terkuma Jiki, the former Speaker reaffirmed his dedication to standing by his constituents in times of distress. He was accompanied by his former Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Terver Zamber, and Senior Special Assistant on Research and Documentation, Mr. Antony Chie.
