Akume’s Wife and David Mark’s Daughter Clinch APC Tickets in Benue Reps Primaries

Two prominent political figures, Mrs. Regina Akume and Hon. Blessing Onuh, have emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primaries in Benue State.

Mrs. Regina Akume, wife of Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, secured the APC ticket for the Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency. Similarly, Hon. Blessing Onuh, daughter of former Senate President David Mark, won the ticket for the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency.

Their victories come amid a wave of major upsets in the Benue APC primaries, where several sitting lawmakers failed to secure return tickets. The results are seen as a significant boost for the Akume political structure and a continuation of strong representation for Hon. Blessing Onuh in her constituency.
