On August 5, 2026, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 4 Headquarters, Makurdi, AIG Dankombo F. Morris, psc(+), played host to the Sarkin Hausawan Makurdi and Chairman of the Hausa Traditional Council of Chiefs, Benue State, His Royal Highness Imam Muhammad Sani Yusuf, alongside his entourage at the Zonal Headquarters in Makurdi. The strategic engagement was attended by key management staff and senior police officers of the Zonal Headquarters, as well as prominent traditional chiefs accompanying the Royal Father.
Speaking during the visit, HRH Imam Muhammad Sani Yusuf congratulated AIG Dankombo F. Morris on his deployment as the 44th Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 4. He commended the AIG for his proactive measures and operational foresight, which have contributed significantly to peace and stability across Benue State and the entire Zone since his assumption of office. The Royal Father advocated for strengthened synergy between the Zonal Police Headquarters and the traditional institution to effectively curb crime and criminality. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Hausa community to providing actionable, timely intelligence to aid police operations and appealed to the Zonal Command to organise periodic community sensitisation programmes for his subjects to reinforce civic responsibility and adherence to the rule of law.
