Two individuals claiming to represent the Children of Mary Orphanage Home in Otukpo, Benue State, have been apprehended in Lafia and transferred to the Department of State Services (DSS) for further investigation. The suspects, identified as two women in reports, were allegedly soliciting financial support for the orphanage without proper authorization.

According to details emerging from the incident, the pair traveled from Otukpo in Benue State to Lafia, where their activities raised suspicions among local residents. This led to their arrest by security operatives and subsequent handover to the DSS. The orphanage, located in the G.R.A area of Otukpo, is reportedly not affiliated with the suspects’ solicitation efforts, prompting concerns over potential fraud.
