Comrade Austin Agada, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu possesses a strong record of completed and ongoing federal infrastructure projects in the state that will help secure a seamless victory in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking in an interview reported by TVC News on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Agada stated that the President’s performance in road construction, bridges, housing and federal appointments gives party stakeholders the political capital needed to campaign effectively across Benue and the broader North-Central region.
He highlighted specific federal interventions, noting that travel time from Makurdi to Otukpo, which previously took about four hours, can now be completed in less than an hour. Agada also pointed to the bridge under construction in Buruku, the bridge at Wurukum roundabout, housing projects and the expansion of the road network across the state as evidence of the administration’s work on the ground.
Beyond physical infrastructure, the APC chieftain cited the numerous federal appointments given to Benue indigenees as further proof of President Tinubu’s commitment to the state. “The President has a lot of records to show he has performed, he has worked, and those work will speak for him,” Agada said, adding that the party has verifiable projects to campaign with.
He maintained that the challenge now rests on Governor Hyacinth Alia to present his own records of performance.
