A prominent Benue activist, Zege’Orkwande Sughnen Yaaya, has launched a strong campaign against Hon. S.A. Matu, urging constituents to vote him out of the Benue State House of Assembly, describing him as a “Project funds Embezzler.”

In a fiery social media post, Yaaya accused the lawmaker of failing to deliver meaningful constituency projects despite receiving funds, claiming that at campaign time, Hon. Matu only distributed exercise books and a few old-generation sewing machines to the people of Turan/Ikyurav-Ya.

The activist expressed deep disappointment, stating that someone who allegedly stole constituency project funds with nothing tangible to show for it should not be allowed to return to the House of Assembly. He criticized those who accepted the exercise books and sewing machines, describing the items as insufficient and outdated.
