Engr. Japheth Terlumum Igbogo, a prominent figure from Mbawar Council Ward in Konshisha, has officially expressed his interest in contesting the 2027 general election to represent the Konshisha Constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly (BSHoA). The announcement was made during a meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mbawar exco on Friday, October 10, 2025, as reported by Teria Naswem.
As the 2027 election approaches, political aspirants across various wards, local governments, and states are beginning to stake their claims. Igbogo, a respected son of Konshisha, is positioning himself as a strong contender within the APC, a party he has chosen as his political platform. The Mbawar APC and Algon Chairman, Hon. Jacob Aondona Ishu, commended Igbogo’s decision, pledging support and harmony for the party’s success in Konshisha Local Government Area.
During the meeting, Igbogo informed the exco of his aspirations, with some members aligning with the chairman’s vision and promising to work together for the party’s benefit. Mr. Solo Dzuah, a close friend, praised Igbogo’s ability and capacity to deliver, highlighting his progressive ideologies and willingness to collaborate. Elder Chai Katsina also offered encouragement, impressed by the wisdom displayed in the speeches and urging Igbogo to maintain his aspirations to navigate the path to victory.
The APC has welcomed Igbogo’s interest but noted that other aspirants may also express their intentions, with the preferred candidate to be selected as the party’s ticket holder for the election.
