wave of grief has swept through the Lafia community following the tragic death of a young lady who was reportedly attacked and killed by suspected kidnappers on Sunday night. According to local reports, the victim, whose identity is yet to be officially confirmed by authorities, had only recently enrolled for her Higher National Diploma (HND) before the devastating incident occurred.
Eyewitnesses and residents described the attack as both shocking and heartbreaking, noting that the young woman had been full of hopes and plans for her academic journey. Security agencies in Nasarawa State have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, but investigations are said to be underway to apprehend the perpetrators.
The tragedy has reignited concerns over rising cases of insecurity and kidnapping across parts of Nasarawa State and neighboring regions, with many residents calling for urgent government intervention to ensure the safety of lives and property.
