Idoma Youths Dare Governor’s Aide Over Alleged Threats in Otukpo

Idoma youths in Benue State have pushed back against what they describe as threats and intimidation from a governor’s aide, declaring that no one can threaten them in their own land.

In a strongly worded statement, the youths questioned the conduct of the aide, identified in circulating reports as Gbenda, who is linked to Governor Hyacinth Alia. They asked how a governor’s aide could leave his comfort zone in Makurdi, travel to Otukpo, and indiscriminately warn and threaten Idoma youths in an apparent attempt to force the entire Benue South to support the governor.
