Dr Moses Paul, a chieftain of the Obidient Movement, has alleged that state machinery was used to target Peter Obi during his recent visit to Benue State.
Reacting to the incident, Paul noted that the Benue State Government claimed it was not informed of Obi’s visit. However, the Benue State Police Command has contradicted this position, stating that it was aware of the visit and provided security for the NDC presidential candidate.
Paul described what happened in Benue as deeply disturbing. He further stated that he was informed that the Special Adviser on Youth to the Benue State Governor was the one allegedly mobilising thugs against Peter Obi.
