Thousands of people gathered in Oju/Obi for Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s Thank-You Tour, marking the largest crowd since the tour began.
The Oju/Obi visit is the first leg of the Governor’s engagements across Zone C. From Oju, the Governor is expected to proceed to other federal constituencies in the zone as he continues his statewide tour.
The tour, which has already taken him across the three senatorial zones, is scheduled to conclude on Saturday. It has featured consultations and appreciation visits to communities, traditional institutions, religious leaders, and other key stakeholders across Benue State.
The Zone C leg is giving Governor Alia another opportunity to connect with the people at the grassroots and reaffirm his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and development in every part of the state.
The Igede people have also pledged their support, promising to vote for Governor Alia in the 2027 general elections.
