Security Agencies Hold Strategic Meeting with Otukpo, Ohimini Leaders Ahead of Ember Months

In a proactive move to forestall the usual rise in criminal activities associated with the Yuletide period, popularly known as the “Ember Months,” and address other emerging security concerns, the Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, CP Cletus Nwadiogbu, on Wednesday, 26th August 2026, led a high-powered delegation of security agencies to a strategic security meeting with the Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, Hon. Prince Maxwell Ogiri, FCAI, and his Ohimini counterpart, Hon. Adole O. J. Gabriel, at the Otukpo Local Government Council Secretariat.

Also present at the meeting was the Paramount Ruler of Otukpo, Och’Otukpo Odu, HRH Chief Dr. John Eimonye, the Vice Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, Hon. Evang. Enuwa Efada Soo, and other key stakeholders of Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency.

Before proceeding to the Council Secretariat, the Commissioner of Police paid a courtesy visit to the Paramount Ruler of the Idoma Nation, the Och’Idoma, His Royal Majesty Agabaidu Pastor Dr. John Elaigwu Obagaji Odogbo, CON, at the Royal Palace.

With these proactive measures and renewed security collaboration, residents of Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency can look forward to celebrating the 2026 Yuletide season in an atmosphere of peace, safety and security.
