Abounu Accuses Ortom of Frustrating His 2023 Governorship Ambition

Former Benue State Deputy Governor Benson Abounu has accused ex-Governor Samuel Ortom of allegedly frustrating his ambition to become governor in 2023.

Abounu claimed that political leaders initially encouraged his bid to succeed Ortom, which he said would have given Benue South a chance to produce the state’s next governor.

However, he alleged that Ortom manipulated the PDP governorship primary in favour of former House of Assembly Speaker Titus Uba, undermining his chances of securing the party’s ticket.
