Former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly and member representing Gboko West Constituency, Hon. Aondona Dajoh, personally cut the hair of a young boy with locked hair at his residence in Mbaanku.
The heartwarming gesture took place earlier today following a special request from the boy, who hails from Mbatierev, Mbakwen in Gboko Local Government Area. According to the boy’s mother, the request was first made on Friday, June 5, 2026 — which coincided with Hon. Dajoh’s birthday — but could not be granted immediately due to time constraints. The boy, however, remained insistent until his mother brought him to the former Speaker’s residence today.
After fulfilling the boy’s wish by cutting his locked hair, the grateful mother thanked God for answering her prayers and commended Hon. Dajoh for his humility and kindness in granting her son’s request. She revealed that her son had placed a tough condition on cutting his hair, insisting that the family must first buy him a car and a Bajaj motorcycle, a demand that had been difficult for them to meet.
The mother further prayed for continued blessings on Hon. Dajoh, asking God to increase His love for humanity and service above self in his life.
The act has been widely praised as a touching display of compassion and accessibility by the former Speaker.
