Shaku Television Network has issued a strongly worded press statement rebutting a report by Asom D Jerry, describing it as “totally lies, misleading, and baseless” that should be disregarded by the public.
The statement affirmed that the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Dr. Justine Shaku, maintains a cordial relationship with the kindred ruler, HRH Sarkin Hausawa Katsina Ala, Mallam Kabiru Musa Bawa. It noted that the Chairman, despite his busy schedule, paid Sallah homage to the king yesterday, during which both leaders discussed issues of peace, security, and development.
The network clarified that the former King, Alhaji Sani Shehu, passed away about four years ago and a successor has since been installed, stressing that the community has no leadership crisis. It further explained that no Fulani man has ever crowned the Sarkin Hausawa, noting the existence of two major ruling houses — the Wakili and the Mallam Bawa ruling houses.
Comr. Tanko Mudi Moyi, Active PA to the Sarkin Hausawa Katsina Ala, on media, signed the statement and described Asom D Jerry as “shameless and imbecilic,” accusing him of habitually insulting traditional rulers.
The response seeks to set the record straight and maintain harmony between the local government leadership and the traditional institution in Katsina-Ala.
