Tension gripped a section of the road as a suspicious black bus allegedly attempted to attack and intercept the convoy of frontline Benue State governorship aspirant, Dr. Jeffrey Kuraun, while he was returning from Katsina-Ala.
The strange movement of the vehicle caused panic among supporters and members of the convoy, raising serious security concerns. Fortunately, the situation was quickly brought under control without any loss of life or injury.
In a statement on the incident, Dr. Kuraun’s team described the event as unfortunate and a reminder that politics should not be driven by intimidation or violence. The aspirant, who is promoting his EASY-WIG Manifesto, reaffirmed his commitment to peaceful, issue-based politics and the collective progress of Benue State.
The incident has sparked calls from concerned Benue residents for security agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter and ensure the safety of all political actors as the state approaches the 2027 general elections.
No official confirmation or arrests have been reported so far regarding the suspicious black bus.
