Alia TV Network has issued a strong condemnation of an attempted assassination of its guest speaker, Arc. Isaac Iorwuese Kuhwa, which occurred last night, Saturday, September 13, 2025. The incident took place at EJJA Hotel, located behind the Redeemed Church on Gboko Road, Makurdi.
According to eyewitnesses, four individuals were loitering near the street around 8 PM. Initially perceived as passersby, the situation escalated when Kuhwa left his brother’s wife’s home to buy medicine for an illness. One assailant began following him, while the other three positioned themselves in front. They subsequently attacked Kuhwa, accusing him of criticizing the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume, during his appearances on the “ATEMTYO” program.
The attack, described as heinous and barbaric by Alia TV, resulted in damage to Kuhwa’s phone and some injuries. The network expressed solidarity with Kuhwa, calling for swift action from authorities to ensure his safety and bring the perpetrators to justice. Alia TV emphasized that such violence threatens the peace and security of the state and undermines collective aspirations for progress, with no justification or tolerance for such acts.
