All arrangements have been concluded for the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Congress in Benue State, scheduled to hold tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at IBB Square, Makurdi, by 11:00 a.m.
A team of chairmen, secretaries, and members of the APC Congress Committees dispatched from the party’s National Headquarters in Abuja met on Monday with the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner in Benue, Prof. Sam Egwu, and his team to fine-tune logistics and ensure smooth conduct of the exercise.
The meeting, which focused on accreditation, security, venue readiness, and compliance with electoral guidelines, signals that the party is fully prepared for the important event expected to elect new state executive members and consolidate the APC structure ahead of future elections.
The development was confirmed in a post by prominent APC stakeholder Ahooho Terungwa, who shared that the congress committees and INEC officials had successfully aligned on all necessary details.
The APC State Congress in Benue comes amid ongoing efforts to strengthen the party’s unity and grassroots presence in the state following Governor Hyacinth Alia’s leadership and the party’s performance in previous elections. Party faithful and observers are expected to converge at IBB Square tomorrow for what is anticipated to be a peaceful and well-organised gathering.
