31-Year-Old Benue Man Barnabas Terhemba Jime Arrested by US Immigration Authorities

A 31-year-old Nigerian man, Barnabas Terhemba Jime, has been arrested by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for his involvement in wire fraud-related offenses.

Jime, who was previously convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, was among several individuals arrested during ICE enforcement operations carried out last week. The arrest was disclosed in a statement shared by the agency on Wednesday.

According to ICE, “Criminals came from all over the world to take advantage of America’s open borders to wreak havoc in our communities. Here are just a few of the criminal illegal aliens arrested by ICE last week.”

Authorities stated that Jime will remain in ICE custody pending his removal from the United States.

The case has drawn attention online, with many Nigerians, particularly from Benue State, reacting to the news of another citizen facing deportation over criminal activities abroad.
