Cult Clash in Gboko Claims Life of NBS Member

A young man identified as Oryiman, popularly known as “Incharge,” was killed in a suspected cult-related incident around Ahmadu Bello Way in Gboko, Benue State, yesterday.

According to reports, the victim was a member of NBS (Black Skvll), one of the groups affiliated with the National Black Movement (NBM/Aye). He was allegedly killed by members of the Vikings (DNKI) cult group.

The incident highlights the ongoing rivalry between rival cult factions operating in parts of Benue State. NBS (Black Skvll) shares similar orientation and rivalries with other groups linked to the NBM.

Community sources and social media reports have condemned the killing, with many calling on young people to stay safe and completely reject involvement in cultism.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident as investigations are believed to be ongoing.

This tragic event serves as another reminder of the dangers posed by cult groups and the urgent need for sustained efforts to rid tertiary institutions and communities of such violent affiliations.
