Gov. Hyacinth Alia Arrives at APC Secretariat as Benue Governorship Primary Results Collation Concludes

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has arrived at the conference hall of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat in Makurdi as the party’s Governorship Primary Election Committee prepares to declare the winner of the primaries conducted across the state on Thursday.

The governor’s arrival came amid heightened anticipation from party faithful, delegates, and supporters who thronged the secretariat awaiting the official announcement of the results.

According to reports, the collation of results from the governorship primaries commenced at exactly 1:57 a.m. on Friday at the Benue APC Secretariat, following the conclusion of voting in various local government areas and council wards.

Members of the election committee were seen verifying and compiling results submitted from different parts of the state ahead of the formal declaration of the party’s governorship candidate. Security operatives maintained a strong presence around the venue to ensure orderliness as stakeholders closely monitored the proceedings.

The development marks a significant moment for the Benue APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
