A significant transition took place in the Ministry of Justice and Public Order. Professor Timothy Yangien Ornguga, the newly appointed Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and Public Order, received a handover note from Barrister Thomas Ese, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, in a formal ceremony held in Ese’s office.
During the handover, Barrister Ese pledged his unwavering support to Professor Ornguga, famously stating, “I’m your neck and I will position myself very well so you can sit on to function well.” This metaphor underscored Ese’s commitment to serving as a strong foundation for the new Attorney General’s leadership.
The Permanent Secretary further assured Professor Ornguga of his dedication, promising to work with him as a staff member, brother, and friend. He also highlighted the unity within the ministry, noting that the management and staff stand firmly behind the new Attorney General.
In response, Professor Ornguga expressed his gratitude to Barrister Ese for ensuring a smooth transition. He emphasized their intent to collaborate as a team to foster the growth and development of the ministry, signaling a promising start to his tenure.
This handover marks a new chapter for the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, with both leaders committed to working together for the greater good.
