Oldest Pastor, Pa Simon Agu Mashika, Goes Home to Glory

The Christian community in Benue State is in deep mourning following the passing of Pa Simon Agu Mashika, widely regarded as the state’s oldest pastor. His transition, announced on September 17, 2025, has left a void in the spiritual landscape of the region.

Until his passing, Pa Mashika was celebrated for his unwavering devotion to God and tireless passion for winning souls. A familiar figure at Remnant Christian Network (RCN) programs in Makurdi, he was often given the podium by Apostle Arome Osayi to pray, exhort, and share timeless wisdom with the congregation. Described by many as a spiritual pathfinder, Pa Mashika embodied humility, fervency, and dedication to the gospel. His fatherly counsel, wake-up calls, and uncompromising commitment to raising a God-fearing generation remain indelible.
