In a heartwarming display of the true spirit of national service, Corps Member Tyowon Doowuese Janet (AD/24C/0377), currently serving in Mubi North LGA of Adamawa State, has single-handedly ended a long-standing water crisis in Dazala community by rehabilitating an abandoned borehole.

The project, completed and commissioned on Thursday, November 13, 2025, now delivers clean, safe drinking water to hundreds of residents who had endured years of scarcity, forcing women and children to trek long distances or rely on contaminated sources that exposed them to waterborne diseases.

Speaking at the commissioning, Doowuese explained that constant reports of health challenges linked to poor water quality moved her to act. With support from the NYSC management, local stakeholders, and community members, she mobilized resources to revive the dormant borehole, transforming it into a reliable lifeline.

Zonal Inspector Mahmud Yakubu, representing the Adamawa State Coordinator, hailed Doowuese as a shining example of what the NYSC scheme stands for, praising her initiative and dedication while thanking all partners who made the project possible.
