Kwande LGA Celebrates Independence Day with Unity and Patriotism in Adikpo

The spirit of unity and patriotism shone brightly as Kwande Local Government Area (LGA) marked Nigeria’s Independence Day with a vibrant celebration in Adikpo. The Executive Chairman of Kwande LGA and Benue State ALGON Chairman, Hon. Vitalis Terhile Neji, mobilized schools, unions, teachers, and committed individuals to join the festivities, ably represented by Council Secretary Hon. Alexandra Mua Nyam.

During the event, the Chairman emphasized the need for unity and peace while calling for support for leadership and a display of patriotism. Tyoor of Township HRH Chief Naregh Adzua, who graced the occasion, advised students and attendees to embrace the spirit of patriotism and love for their community, emulating the Council Chairman’s leadership.

Notable union leaders, including the NUT and NULGE Chairmen, expressed gratitude to the ALGON Chairman and Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia, for their focus on staff welfare. They pledged their commitment to service and support for the government.

The Supervisory Councillor for Education, Hon. Mathew Shaagee, who presented gifts to participants, appreciated the turnout and thanked those who engaged in the activities. The celebration was a memorable moment for all, blending unity, entertainment, and education for everyone present.
