Guma LG Chairman Maurice Orwough Attends Burial, Rallies Support for Governor Alia’s Second Term

The Executive Chairman of Guma Local Government Area, Hon. Maurice Orwough, on Friday joined hundreds of mourners at Uleva in Uvir Council Ward for the burial of Pa Donald Gayam Ifan, father of his Special Assistant on Legislative Affairs, Hon. Bem Ifan.

In a solemn atmosphere filled with grief and solidarity, the council boss consoled the bereaved family and prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed patriarch.

While addressing APC faithfuls, ward executives, support groups, and community members present at the funeral, Hon. Orwough used the occasion to reaffirm his unwavering commitment to the re-election of Governor Hyacinth Alia in 2027, declaring that the governor remains the only viable and credible choice for the continued progress of Benue State.

He urged party members and the entire people of Guma and Benue at large to stay resolute and resist any form of distraction, emphasizing that Governor Alia’s transformational leadership has brought unprecedented development and deserves another term to consolidate on the gains recorded so far.
