Governor Alia Dissolves Lobi Stars FC Board and Management

In a significant move to reposition the club, Governor Hyacinth Alia has approved the immediate dissolution of the Board and Management of Lobi Stars FC, the Benue state-owned football club based in Makurdi. The decision, announced today, takes effect immediately and is aimed at enhancing efficiency, accountability, and performance in both the Nigeria Premier Football League and other competitions.

Governor Alia has directed all members of the dissolved management to hand over official documents, assets, and responsibilities to the Commissioner for Youth, Sports, and Creativity with immediate effect. This transition is part of a broader strategy to pave the way for a new management structure, which the Governor assured will soon be announced to drive the next phase of Lobi Stars’ growth and competitiveness.

Expressing appreciation to the outgoing board and management for their services to the club and the state, Governor Alia emphasized his administration’s commitment to sports development.
