On Thursday, September 18, 2025, over 30 elders from the Gaav extraction in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State gathered at the Mbawar residence of Elder Theophilus Adzaagee to endorse Engr. Japheth Terlumun Igbozo as their candidate for the 2027 Benue State House of Assembly (BSHoA) election. The meeting, held in an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm, saw the elders reaffirm their unwavering support for Igbozo, citing his refreshing candour and ability to deliver quality, inclusive representation.
Igbozo expressed profound gratitude to Elder Adzaagee, the convener, and all attending elders for recognizing his worthiness to contest for the mantle of representative leadership in Konshisha. In his appeal, he outlined a productive blueprint to reposition Konshisha for the common good, urging the elders to remain steadfast in their support. He emphasized his profundity and ability to fulfill his promises if elected.
Elder Joseph Tsembe from Mbavaa Council Ward praised Igbozo’s courage and advised him to stay connected with the people of Konshisha if elected. Elder Hembaor Adoji commended Igbozo’s philanthropic spirit, highlighting his exceptional leadership during the burial of late Arc Terver Gemade in Mbawar. Hon. Esther Nyajo from Mbatem Council Ward expressed optimism in Igbozo’s potential to represent them well, assuring him of her overwhelming support.
The endorsement reflects a collective belief in Igbozo’s capacity to lead Konshisha forward, with elders like Najime Agera and Sylvester Tongur from Mbayer/Mbakye and Mbavaa Council Wards respectively, reaffirming their unflinching support. As the community rallies behind him, Igbozo’s candidacy is gaining momentum, setting the stage for a promising future in the Benue State House of Assembly.
