Burn Victim Linda Battles for Life as Family Seeks Urgent Funds for Critical Care

A young woman identified as Linda is fighting for her life in intensive care after suffering severe and extensive burns over most of her body. According to a detailed appeal shared by her brother on social media, she faces the constant threat of life-threatening infections, intense pain, dehydration, a rapid heart rate and increased difficulty breathing. Doctors have indicated that an emergency escharotomy is urgently required a procedure performed when tightened burned skin restricts blood flow or prevents the lungs from expanding properly. Without timely intervention, the consequences could prove devastating.

Additional surgeries, including the removal of dead tissue and skin grafting, may also become necessary in the coming days as the medical team works to stabilise her condition. The family has already paid a ₦1.7 million ICU admission deposit, but an immediate ₦2.1 million is needed for the escharotomy. Daily ICU care is estimated at ₦1 million for the next ten days, bringing the minimum amount required at this stage to ₦15 million.

Linda’s brother, Kuku Emmanuel, has appealed for public support, providing a GTBank account in his name (account number 0140245049) for contributions. He emphasised that every day in intensive care offers her another chance at survival and urged those unable to donate to share the appeal widely so it may reach people who can help. The family continues to hope that kindness and timely assistance will make the difference between life and death.
