BSUTH Management Visits MOAU Vice-Chancellor, Seeks Stronger Institutional Collaboration

The management of the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) on Thursday, June 4, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Moses Orshio Adasu University (MOAU), Professor Timothy Terseer Alabar.

Led by the Chief Medical Director of BSUTH, Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, the delegation congratulated Professor Alabar on his appointment as the seventh Vice-Chancellor of the institution and expressed commitment to strengthening the longstanding partnership between the two institutions.

Dr. Hwande emphasized the critical role both organizations play in advancing medical education and healthcare delivery in Benue State, particularly in the training of medical students. He appealed for greater collaboration, including involving BSUTH in recruitment processes at the College of Health Sciences and making university workshops available for training biomedical engineers.

Professor Alabar welcomed the visit, describing it as an “executive handshake” and pledged to sustain and deepen the collaboration. He commended Dr. Hwande’s leadership at BSUTH and thanked Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia for his support.
