The BSUTH Cares Foundation in Makurdi, in collaboration with the Benue Bureau for International Cooperation and the Ishk Tolaram Foundation from Lagos, has launched a major humanitarian initiative to provide 300 free artificial limbs to amputees in Benue State.
The programme, which aims to restore mobility and dignity to persons living with disabilities, was announced during an event held at the BSUTH Conference Room at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Makurdi.
The partnership focuses on supporting amputees who require prosthetic limbs, offering them a life-changing opportunity to regain independence and participate more fully in society.
The initiative has been welcomed by residents as a significant step towards improving healthcare access and supporting vulnerable groups in the state.
Registration and further details for beneficiaries are being handled through the collaborating organizations at the designated venue.
