The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has declared the International Youth Day 2026 celebration open at the Governor Alia Conference Hall, BSEMA, Makurdi. The Governor was represented at the event by the Secretary to the State Government, Deaconess Deborah Serumun Aber, Esq.
The ceremony marks the commencement of Day 1 of the 2026 International Youth Day celebration, which is currently ongoing at the venue. A large gathering of participants, including government officials, youth representatives and stakeholders, is present for the programme.
