The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has praised Engr. Dr. Livinus Adzer Tsar, Governor Hyacinth Alia’s Pointman in Konshisha Local Government Area, for fulfilling a ₦20 million pledge to reconstruct and furnish fire-damaged facilities at St. Winifred Girls’ College, Ihugh, in Vandeikya Local Government Area.
In a statement, the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Chief Dr. Benjamin Omale, described the completed project as a commendable demonstration of Tsar’s commitment to community development, the welfare of the people and the advancement of education. Omale noted that the intervention was especially significant because Tsar currently holds no elective office, calling it a reflection of his sense of responsibility and willingness to serve beyond the confines of public position.
The fulfilment of the pledge has restored the affected facilities and created a more conducive environment for teaching and learning. Omale also commended Tsar for his commitment to installing Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras within and around the school premises to strengthen the security of students and staff.
The State Chairman said the gesture aligns with the values of the APC, which promotes service to the people and initiatives that complement government efforts to improve the lives of citizens. “Dr. Tsar has demonstrated that meaningful service to humanity is not limited to holding public office. By keeping his word and restoring these facilities, he has shown that leadership is also about identifying needs, responding to them and making a tangible difference in the lives of the people,” Omale stated.
The Benue APC called on other well-meaning sons and daughters of the state, corporate organisations and community leaders to emulate the example by supporting education, healthcare, infrastructure and other initiatives capable of improving the wellbeing of communities across Benue.
