A social media appeal is circulating for assistance in reconnecting a young girl with her family in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State. According to the post by Zege’Orkwande Sughnen, the girl was reportedly sold by her elder brother, who was born of a different father, to a stranger in Enugu State.
She is currently not enrolled in school and works as a maid for a woman who owns a drinking joint, or beer parlour. The girl is said to have encountered a Tiv man in the area and expressed a desire to reconnect with her relatives in Konshisha. The poster has urged members of the public to continue sharing the message until it reaches the right person and to send a direct message if they recognise her or can identify her family.
