In a bold show of leadership, the Executive Chairman of Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State, Ambassador Melvin James Ejeh, has been widely praised by residents for personally leading security patrols to counter potential attacks by armed herders.

Following rumours that armed herders had crossed into some communities with plans to launch attacks, panic spread across parts of the local government. But rather than issue directives from the safety of the council secretariat, Ejeh swiftly mobilised security personnel and embarked on patrols across vulnerable communities to reassure residents and deter any possible invasion.
